This home is the work of Dutch architects, Bedaux de Brouwer. Clearly borrowing from the Miesian pavilion, a mix of transparent, reflective and semi translucent finishes set it apart from the original.  Sheets of screen printed glass provide a degree of privacy and enclosure around the perimeter. The visual effect is a milky black veil- a veil that has just enough transparency to hint at what lies beyond, alluring us into the depths of the space. The layered combination of mirroring, transparency and open courtyards take the eyes on a slightly disorientating, visual ride.

As enticing as the material palette is, the practical/rational side of me wonders how much Windex they power through to keep the design intent alive...
